Coop Supermarkten in the Netherlands, a leading organization in the Dutch retail industry, has invested in ReadSoft's invoice processing solution for SAP. The solutions from ReadSoft will help Coop Supermarkten (Coop) to realize savings and improve the quality of their financial processes. The agreement covers the processing of 680,000 invoices annually.
By automating their invoice processing, Coop is able to process and book all supplier and general expense invoices into SAP with minimal manual intervention. Coop's office in Velp, in the Netherlands, receives paper and electronic invoices that previously were processed manually and by outdated software, which lead to lengthy and time-consuming processes.
The purpose of Coop's automated document handling project is to realize faster processing, booking, and payment of all incoming invoices in one integral system. Price differences between orders and invoices should be quickly and easily discovered. Furthermore, the software should be user-friendly for accounts payable and budget stakeholders.
ReadSoft's invoice processing solution for SAP gives Coop the opportunity to automate their invoice processing. "We have chosen ReadSoft because of its proven solution and we need the handling speed to make sure the process runs smoothly", says Jan van Boeijen, Head of Finance at Coop in the Netherlands.
The process has been successfully implemented and helps Coop ensure quality, good service and satisfaction for both customers and suppliers. Currently Coop is investigating the possibility of automating other document related processes with ReadSoft's solutions.
"ReadSoft is very pleased to support companies like Coop who wants to improve the efficiency of their accounts payable processes," says Jan Andersson, CEO at ReadSoft AB. "We look forward to expand our collaboration with Coop and to help them achieve best-in-class practices within document automation processes."
